OfficeMedium Gets an RSS Feed Reader, File & Resource Revisioning

Straight off the suggestions of some very smart customers and potential customers of ours, we successfully released two significant and very useful features into the OfficeMedium platform on Sunday afternoon. No public announcement was made about the features, but after a quick 10-minute downtime, all of the functionality was rolled out. We decided to hold off till today to make a post about the features, because several minor patches were put out since, just to tweak all of the features and settings.

Quite impressive, we were given the suggestions for both of these features in the middle of last week, and were able to deploy within days. That's why we always try to get as much feedback from our customers and potential customers as possible - because we want to give you want you want - so don't be shy!

OfficeMedium now has a fully-functional RSS feed reader. Users with the right permissions (superuser) can add any number of external news feeds into the software for everyone to view. Feeds can also be categorized for easier organization. When viewing feed items, you can view a long stream of the latest content, items grouped by source, or grouped by category. Adding a new feed is as simple as supplying a title and the RSS address. (see screenshots below)

Also added was a revisioning mechanism for Resource and File content types. Now, whenever a change is made to either of these item types, users will be able to view all of the prior revisions, and optionally revert back to an older copy. This provides a complete audit trail, and ensures that all of your work will always be stored. (see screenshots below)
