Data Caching Mechanism Bug Detected [Fixed]

Tags:

What seems to be due to our last round of updates, a bug has surfaced in our data caching mechanism. The cache is used to store recent queries and results in a manner that makes it quicker and more efficient for users to retrieve - resulting in a better user interface. The problem, as it seems right now, is that the cache is not refreshing itself, making new data and updates go unseen. The auto-updating and auto-sorting data tables are also having some issues.

Everyone and their Grandma now has an iPhone in their pocket or purse. I even have one right next to my keyboard. I can't wait to get rid of it (Hello, Android!) but that's a different story. Alright, the phone is pretty amazing and could be equally as useful. While the app store is filled with 95% junk, there are a handful of applications out there that serve some great purposes.

OfficeMedium Gets Real-Time Chatting

As announced in an earlier blog post, we underwent a brief period of maintenance last night which lasted about 40 minutes. A majority of the maintenance and upgrades were for backend issues related to increasing security, efficiency, and speed. We did, however, state that we'd be introducing at least one new interesting feature to our software.

We're Always Open to Feedback and Feature Requests

Tags:

We wanted to make a quick post to get something out there. Most companies out there, especially software companies, aren't very open and willing to hear customer feedback, most importantly, feature requests. Most companies make it hard enough to even get in touch with a support representative. We take a completely different approach here. Especially since we're a very young company and our software hasn't been in public use for much time yet, we are very eager to hearing everything you have to say about our software.

A series of software updates and patches will be deployed late Tuesday night. We will try to begin the work as late as possible to minimize inconvenience. No need to execute software and read through tech manuals.

Plans to Introduce Drupal-based Open Development Platform

From the very inception of OfficeMedium, we had a vision of eventually turning our software into an open platform for development and extended functionality and customization. Every company and group that needs software like ours has different wants and needs. Thinking that we could possibly cater our software to satisfy everyone is a long-shot. Not only is our software comprehensive enough to suit most business and collaborative needs, but if the users were able to further extend the functionality to fill any of their remaining needs - how amazing would that be?
